John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne  is a heavy metal lead singer of the pioneering  band Black Sabbath, Due to Sabbath's dark style, Osbourne became known as the "Prince of Darkness"and also known as the "Godfather of Heavy Metal".

Ozzy Osbourne`s varied occupations before success came included slaughterman, bricklayer, laborer, factory worker, car-horn tuner and burglar.

When he started out in music, the demand for rock singers in his hometown of Birmingham was so strong that anyone with their own microphone and PA amplifier could get a paying gig. Osbourne's father paid for the equipment, to spare him having to work a menial job after his failures in school.

His nickname "Ozzy" was actually a name that schoomates taunted him with as a child/teen.
